CVU Hoop Hawks competes in a Sunday league, which is a competitive basketball league with an emphasis on player development, integrity and teamwork. Teams are organized by area high school districts. CVU teams consist of players from Williston, Charlotte, Shelburne, St. George, and Hinesburg.
There are 4 divisions in the Sunday League: Grade 7-8 Girls, Grade 7-8 Boys, Grade 5-6 Girls, and Grade 5-6 Boys. Within each division, CVU will have an A and B team to ensure the best match ups in the league. Assignment to A or B depends on strength and experience of the player.

SPORTSMANSHIP EXPECTATIONS
We encourage displays of good sportsmanship and positive behavior from all players, coaches, officials, parents and fans throughout the season. We expect all of the above to cooperate by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Please cheer positively for your team and refrain from negative comments to opposing teams, players, coaches, and officials. Although this is competitive basketball, it still should be fun. At this developmental age, we must keep in mind our role of modeling positive behavior and providing positive experiences for our children. Overall, the results are not of enough importance to cause any problems or create difficulties for the officials. We request that everyone give one another the benefit of the doubt and if you have nothing positive to add, then please refrain from commenting. We ask that you respect the school buildings and pick up after yourselves so that we can continue to use these facilities in the future.
